Big Blowfish
Acrylic Paint, 2024
This Medium Acrylic paint piece of art is one of my favorite sea animals, a blowfish, which is why I named it Big Blowfish. A visual of this beautiful creature in the water created with acrylic paint. The photo is very fun colored. When I painted him I kept him a bit more realistic, replacing the purple in the picture with orange and yellows. I decided to paint this blowfish, for many reasons. Some of those reasons being: the fun details, the great emotion on his face, the cool bubbles around him, and how puffed he is. I did not want a plain boring blowfish. In a lot of the other pictures they had more white and brown on the fish. I wanted to go with a brighter color scheme. The picture showed bubbles also had great coloring and showed great spike details. I thought that was important because it is a part of the blowfish. The blowfish’s scientific name is taken from the Greek. It refers to the creature’s four large, fused teeth, which the fish uses for crushing things. The first blowfish was found swimming right off the coast of northwestern New Zealand.

Beautiful Day
Oil Paint, 2024
For my final project I painted a scenery called “Beautiful Day”, using oil paint. In this painting there is a beautiful stream, next to grass filled with flowers. In the background you can see all the mountains. This piece has a lot of meaning for me. That is because I love nature. I have never been to this specific place, but I love to travel and see nature. I this nature is the worlds art.
Picnic Dream
Watercolor, 2024
My surrealistic watercolor painting Picnic Dream is special to me because it is about a dream I had. In this dream I was at a park having a picnic. When I was eating my food, it started to come alive. I was having a picnic by myself. There was also a cat in the tree that was bigger than a normal cat. One of my favorite animal is a cat, so that is why this dream was important to me. This dream was really interesting.

Myla's Miles
Myla Kaldor
Watercolor, 2024
I used watercolor to create this project called “Myla’s Miles.” In this art piece I captured a piece of my life by painting something important to me. I am a senior in high school who has been in track and cross country all my year. Sports have always been a part of my life, and still are. With my overall theme being “A Peek into Myla’s Life”, I knew I had to include sports. Cross country is especially important to me because it has taught me many life lessons, brought me some of my best friends, and gave me some amazing memories. I love this sport not only because I enjoy running, but because of the team. The cross country team is like a second family to me.

Myla’s Meals
Myla Kaldor
Clay and Glaze, 2024
To create this project called “Myla’s Meals,” I used clay and glaze. The plates and mugs are made out of clay, then colored with glaze. In this project I created something that has to do with a big part of my life. Every day I need fuel for my body to get me through that day, so I eat. I made bowls and plates to use during my meals. I created two small plates, two big plates, and two mugs. These will serve a purpose for me during my meals. I really enjoy waking up and having a cup of coffee, so the mugs will be great for that.

Myla’s Midnight
Myla Kaldor
Colored Pencil, 2025
In my colored pencil art piece called “Myla’s Midnight”, I captured an important part of my daily life. It is me sleeping with my stuffed animal. I have had this stuffed animal for many years now, and it is always in my bed with me. With my art theme being my daily life, I knew I had to do one of me sleeping. Not only do I love to sleep, but sleeping is also very beneficial to my life. Without sleep I wouldn’t be able to do all the things I love. Sleep helps recharge my body everyday to be ready for upcoming events.

Myla’s Mobile
Myla Kaldor
Pen and Ink, 2025
I created this art piece using pen and ink, in pointillism style. Which means the entire image is made up of tiny dots. This art captures a part of my daily life: using my phone. I use my phone multiple times a day for entertainment, communication, and research. While I don’t think it’s always a good thing that phones are such a big part of our lives, it’s a realistic part of the world we live in. That said, phones can also be used for good. They help us stay connected with others and stay informed about what’s happening around us.
